Use
extreme care
while working
with hot-melts
in their molten state.
Severe burns can result
if skin contact occurs.
We recommend wearing
safety glasses, thermally
protective gloves and
a long sleeved shirt
to reduce the potential risk
for eye or skin contact. |

Handling
Recommendations
Do not add water or solvent to the melted adhesive. Prohibit
sources of sparks and ignition. Take precaution against
accumulation of electrostatic charges. Do not smoke. Keep
well away from naked flames.
The chemical constituents of the product are not volatile
at room temperature, but fumes are emitted even when the
prescribed working temperature is strictly maintained.
Sometimes unpleasant odours are given off during the melting
operation. If the prescribed working temperature is considerably
exceeded for a prolonged period, there is the risk of
harmful degradation products being produced. Therefore,
at the application temperature,
we recommend avoiding inhalation, to keep the tank closed
and we encourage the use of a local exhaust ventilation
system over the pre-melt reservoir. The adhesive does
not contain toxic substances. Consult
the Material Safety Data Sheet of the product before using. |

First
Aid Measures Inhalation:
In case of prolonged vapour inhalation of superheated
product, move to fresh air and treat any irritation
symptomatically. In the event of symptoms seek medical
advice. Skin contact:
Clean with soap
and water.
For burn involvement, immerse the contact area in
cold, clean water immediately. Keep the contact
area immersed for a prolonged period of time. Do
not attempt to remove the set hot-melt from the
skin.
Cover the contact area with a clean, wet compress
and consult a physician immediately. Eye
contact: for burn involvement wash immediately
with cold water. Cover the eye with a clean, wet
compress and consult a physician immediately.
Ingestion: No
hazards in proper industrial use. In case of ingestion
do not induce vomiting. Call in a physician immediately
and show him the safety data sheet |
